These Terms and Conditions apply to your use of the KiwiCV website at https://www.kiwicv.co.nz, the KiwiCV application at https://app.kiwicv.co.nz, and any related public profile pages and services.
In these Terms, we, us, and our mean KiwiCV.
By accessing or using KiwiCV, creating an account, placing an order, uploading content, or publishing a profile, you agree to these Terms.
KiwiCV provides online services for creating, editing, improving, and delivering CVs, resumes, cover letters, job-targeted versions, related document outputs, and optional public profiles.
Our services may include AI-assisted processing, structured extraction, editing workflows, document generation, revisions, and customer support.
You must be legally able to enter into a binding agreement to use KiwiCV.
You are responsible for:
providing accurate information
keeping your account credentials secure
all activity that occurs under your account
promptly notifying us if you believe your account has been accessed without permission
We may suspend or restrict access if we believe your account is being used unlawfully, fraudulently, abusively, or in breach of these Terms.
Prices are displayed in New Zealand dollars unless stated otherwise.
You agree to pay the fees shown at checkout when you place an order. Payments are processed by third-party payment providers, such as Stripe, and may be subject to their terms and policies.
Your order may not begin until payment is successfully authorised or received, unless we explicitly state otherwise.
If payment is declined, reversed, charged back, or later found to be unauthorised, we may suspend work, withhold delivery, revoke access to outputs, or recover unpaid amounts to the extent permitted by law.
Any turnaround times stated on our website, application, or checkout flow are targets or estimates unless we expressly say otherwise. Timing may depend on:
successful payment
the completeness and quality of the materials you provide
whether you respond promptly to review requests or revision questions
system availability and third-party provider availability
Unless we state otherwise at checkout, an order may include up to 3 free revision rounds for the purchased document package. Additional revisions, add-ons, or later changes may incur extra charges.
You retain ownership of the materials and content you submit to KiwiCV.
You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, analyse, transform, transmit, display, and process your content as necessary to:
provide the services you requested
generate and deliver outputs
support revisions, downloads, and profile publishing
maintain security, backups, and service operations
comply with legal obligations
You promise that:
you have the right to upload and submit the content you provide
your content does not infringe another person’s rights
any personal information about another person included in your content is included lawfully and with any permission required
your content does not contain malware, malicious code, or unlawful material
Some KiwiCV services use AI-assisted processing and automated tools.
You acknowledge that:
outputs may contain errors, omissions, formatting issues, or outdated information
AI-generated or AI-assisted outputs may require manual checking and editing
you are responsible for reviewing all outputs before you use, send, publish, or rely on them
KiwiCV does not guarantee that any document, edit, or profile will result in an interview, offer, placement, promotion, immigration outcome, or other opportunity.
If KiwiCV allows you to publish a public profile, you are responsible for what you choose to make public.
By publishing a profile, you authorise us to display that profile publicly and make it accessible online. Public profiles may be indexed by search engines or cached by third parties.
You can request that a profile be unpublished or removed, but copies may remain in caches, archives, or systems outside our control for a period of time.
You must not use KiwiCV to:
break the law
infringe another person’s intellectual property, privacy, or other rights
upload false, defamatory, obscene, abusive, or harmful material
submit malicious software or attempt to interfere with our systems
scrape, reverse engineer, probe, or attack the service
use the service in a way that could impair availability or security
impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity or authority
We may remove content, suspend accounts, cancel orders not yet started, or restrict access where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached.
All rights in the KiwiCV website, application, branding, software, workflows, templates, design, text, graphics, and service content are owned by us or our licensors, except for content you provide.
Once you have paid all applicable fees, you may use the final outputs we deliver to you for your own personal or internal professional use.
You must not copy, resell, license, distribute, or exploit our platform, templates, or service materials except as permitted by law or by our written consent.
We may send transactional communications related to your account, orders, payments, delivery, revisions, and support.
If you subscribe to marketing or waitlist communications, you can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us.
Support may be provided through third-party service providers.
Because KiwiCV provides digital and personalised services, refund outcomes may depend on the stage of work completed and the nature of the service purchased.
If you want to cancel or request a refund, contact us as soon as possible. We will assess the request in good faith and in line with any published refund policy and applicable New Zealand consumer law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any rights you may have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, the Fair Trading Act 1986, or any other law where those rights cannot be excluded.
KiwiCV relies on third-party services for functions such as authentication, payments, hosting, storage, analytics, AI processing, email delivery, and support.
Your use of some parts of KiwiCV may therefore also be affected by those providers’ terms, privacy notices, and technical requirements.
We are not responsible for third-party services except to the extent required by law.
Your use of KiwiCV is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using KiwiCV, you acknowledge that we may collect, use, store, and disclose personal information as described in that policy.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, KiwiCV is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
We do not promise that:
the website or application will always be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
outputs will be free from every inaccuracy or formatting issue
the service will meet every individual job, recruiter, or employer preference
any particular employment or business outcome will be achieved
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Subject to the paragraph above, and to the maximum extent permitted by law:
we are not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, special, or exemplary loss
we are not liable for loss of profits, revenue, opportunity, reputation, goodwill, or data arising from your use of KiwiCV
our total liability arising out of or in connection with KiwiCV will not exceed the amount you paid us for the specific service giving rise to the claim in the 12 months before the event giving rise to that claim
We may suspend, limit, or terminate your access to KiwiCV if:
you breach these Terms
payment is not completed
your use creates security, legal, or operational risk
we are required to do so by law
You may stop using KiwiCV at any time. Termination does not affect rights and obligations that arose before termination.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on our website or application with a new effective date.
If you continue using KiwiCV after updated Terms take effect, you agree to the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
